Thyroid Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) Course

The AAES Thyroid Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) Course will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023. This course is optional and limited to 30 people. There is a separate registration fee associated with the course. See below for additional details.

Thyroid RFA Course
Friday, April 28, 2023, 8:00 am - 1:00 pm CDT
Registration Fee: $500 USD (limited to 32 attendees)
Includes breakfast and beverage/snack breaks

Many advances have been made in the non-surgical management of thyroid disease, including radiofrequency ablation. This course will provide up-to-date information regarding the application of radiofrequency ablation technology in the management of both benign and malignant thyroid disease, and provide hands-on training in the basic skills needed to be successful in Thyroid RFA. It is recommended that all course participants have expertise in diagnostic ultrasound and fine needle aspiration prior to this course. A certificate of course completion will be provided.

The RFA Course will be held off-site from the Annual Meeting HQ hotel, at the University of Alabama, Birmingham (UAB) Wallace Tumor Institute. Transportation is not provided to/from UAB but Staff can help arrange taxis or other ride-sharing options if needed.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Registration cancellations for the courses align with the Annual Meeting registration policy and must be received in writing by mail or email by April 10, 2023. Cancellations received by this date will be refunded, less a $50 administrative fee. All refunds will be processed immediately following the 2023 Annual Meeting. No refunds for cancellations received after April 10, 2023 will be issued.
