AAES 2026 Annual Meeting

We are delighted to welcome you to Lexington, Kentucky — the “Horse Capital of the World” — for the 2026 AAES Annual Meeting, April 18–20. This year’s meeting centers around the theme “Strengthening Connections”—reflecting our commitment to deepening professional relationships, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and building a stronger, more inclusive endocrine surgery community. The gathering will take place in the stunning new Central Bank Center, located in the heart of downtown Lexington. The venue’s modern amenities and convenient location provide easy access to Gatton Park on the Town Branch, a beautiful 10-acre green space perfect for relaxation and networking throughout your stay.

We’ll kick off the meeting with a Welcome Reception on Friday, April 17th at Mane on Main, a stunning venue overlooking downtown Lexington. This event is open to all attendees—come reconnect with colleagues, meet new friends, and help us launch the meeting in style.

In keeping with our focus on connection and engagement, we will continue with shortened scientific presentations to allow for more meaningful discussion and interaction. The highly rated breakout sessions return with immersive, expert-led content, designed to spark dialogue and collaboration among attendees.

New highlights for 2026 include:

  • ThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivors' Association Award for Thyroid Cancer Research and Paul LoGerfo Research Award winners announced on Saturday, April 18 during the opening session.
  • Podium and poster competition awards will be given on Monday, April 20 ensuring all eligible presenters receive recognition.
  • A dynamic Poster Spotlight session showcasing top posters.
  • Expanded clinically oriented panels and educational sessions, shaped by member feedback.
  • Small group interactive breakout sessions, running in parallel to the main program, offering deeper dives into specialized topics (small fee required).

Sponsors will be on-site to showcase cutting-edge technologies that are transforming endocrine surgery. These exhibits offer a great opportunity to connect with industry leaders and explore innovations that can enhance your practice.

The AAES Annual Meeting is dedicated to advancing the science and art of endocrine surgery through knowledge exchange, collaboration, and community. The 2026 meeting promises innovative programming, networking opportunities, and scholarly enrichment—all designed to strengthen the connections that make our field thrive.

Lexington, known for its rich heritage and southern charm, offers a welcoming backdrop for this year’s meeting. From our iconic thoroughbred horse farms and the Kentucky Horse Park, to our celebrated role on Kentucky’s Bourbon Trail, Lexington embodies the best of Bluegrass culture and hospitality.

Your visit coincides with the world-class spring horse racing meet at the historic Keeneland Racetrack (www.keeneland.com), one of the most cherished traditions in horse racing.
