Boston Medical Center (BMC) and the Boston University (BU) Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine are jointly recruiting a surgeon who has completed an AAES-accredited Comprehensive Endocrine Surgery Fellowship or who has significant clinical expertise in surgery for thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal disease. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible. The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, a compassionate spirit, and the ability to develop strong relationships throughout the organization. In addition to providing the highest quality care across the full spectrum of malignant and benign endocrine disease, the Section of Surgical Oncology prioritizes the training, education, and mentorship of residents and medical students and encourages original research. The successful candidate will embrace teamwork and a collaborative approach to patient care. The candidate will join a team in the Section of Surgical Oncology & Endocrine Surgery that currently includes five surgeons and four advanced practice providers. Endocrine Surgery at BMC relies on multi-specialty teams, and most patients are managed jointly with a group of high-volume endocrinologists who perform ultrasounds and thyroid biopsies. BMC is one of only 11 Primary Aldosteronism Specialty Centers in the United States, as designated by the Primary Aldosteronism Foundation, and our surgeons work closely with nephrologists, endocrinologists, and interventional radiologists to care for these patients. In addition to patients from within the Boston Medical Center Health System, we have a robust referral network from suburban Boston, Cape Cod, and other parts of New England.BMC is a 514-bed academic medical center located in Boston’s historic South End.
