Genetic Profiling of Thyroid Tumors

Purpose: To compare the genetic profile of various thyroid tumors.
Overview: In our study we are looking to collaborate with with other institutions who have tissue banks to expand our specimen pool. Our goal is to compare the genetic profile between these different types of thyroid tumors.

The Role of Cancer-Associated Fibroblasts in BRAFV600E positive thyroid cancers​

Study Type: Basic Science
Purpose: To assess the role of cancer-associated fibroblasts in the progression of thyroid cancers
Overview: Using resected thyroid tumors, we are creating fibroblast cell cultures in order to better understand how this cell type interacts with both thyroid cancer cells and the other cells of the tumor microenvironment, with a goal of uncovering novel biomarkers and treatment targets.
