About Dr. Saba Kurtom

Saba Kurtom, MD is board-certified general surgeon and surgical oncologist. She completed her Endocrine Surgery and Complex General Surgical Oncology fellowships at the University of Pittsburgh. She currently serves as Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. Her practice focuses on endocrine surgery and skin/soft tissue oncology, with a special interest in robotic surgery.

What Do You Hope to Get Out of Your AAES Membership Experience?

I joined the AAES because it represents a community of clinicians and scientists dedicated to promoting and advancing endocrine surgery. I am an early-career endocrine surgeon and I truly value the mentorship and the opportunity to learn from leaders in the field as well as being able to contribute to the advancement in research and evidence-based patient care.  Most importantly, I hope to create lasting relationships with colleagues who share the same commitment to the field.
