Thyroid Endocrine Surgery Curriculum
for General Surgery Residents
Asking members of the AAES for their help with a research project
in Adrenocortical cancer.
This paper provides clinical guidelines for evaluation and management
of patients with thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer. The authors
are an 11-member Standards of Care Committee of the American Thyroid
Association, and include Orlo Clark, M.D. This is an excellent
summary of current diagnosis and management of thyroid nodules and
thyroid cancer.
The following is a curriculum developed by the American Association
of Endocrine Surgeons outlining the knowledge and skill objectives
that should be taught, learned, demonstrated and evaluated by the
completion of general surgery residency.
