Objectives of the Program Our goal of our fellowship is to have our fellows become leaders in Endocrine Surgical Oncology. Many former fellows are currently academic endocrine surgeons in leading medical centers in the USA.
Highlights of the Fellowship (including number of cases and a brief description of the overall program) We perform over 600 endocrine operations each year related to tumors and disorders of the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and neuroendocrine tumors of the gastrointestinal tract and pancreas. Advanced endoscopic techniques are primarily used for tumors of the adrenal and for pancreatic tumors. We also have both clinical and research endocrine oncology conferences. We usually have two clinical fellows and two to four research fellows. Our fellows also take courses in scientific writing, epidemiology, and outcome investigations. They become proficient in ultrasonography
